CHRIST, also known as Christ College and Christ University, is a deemed-to-be-university located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Founded in 1969 as Christ College, the University Grants Commission (UGC) conferred autonomy to the college in 2004.
Christ University Bangalore is a private university of repute in India, initially established as Christ College in 1969. Christ University was conferred with Autonomy in 2004 and declared as a deemed-to-be university by the UGC in 2008. The university was accredited with an ‘A+’ Grade by NAAC.

CHRIST (Deemed to be University), began as Christ College in 1969 offering undergraduate programmes in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Commence. From 1992 it began offering masters programmes in Social Sciences and Sciences, and Management.
