Mar 13, 2015 · Singapore’s oldest homegrown department store chain is closing two outlets this year: Marina Square on April 26 and Tiong Bahru Plaza in the last quarter of the year. That leaves the heritage store with two branches, at Jurong Point and Plaza Singapura.

Nov 7, 2016 · Probably Singapore’s oldest department store after launching 174 years ago, John Little will close its final outlet on January 2. It is holding a moving-out sale, with discounts of up to 90 per cent, from its store in Plaza Singapura, which opened three years ago.
John Little was established in 1845 and was acquired by Robinsons in 1955. First located at Raffles Place, it eventually settled at Specialist's Centre. There are now 4 John Little stores all over Singapore. Besides the flagship store at Marina Square, there are also outlets at Plaza Singapura, Causeway Point and Jurong Point.
