The Toei Subway (都営地下鉄, Toei chikatetsu, lit. ' metropolis-operated subway ') is one of two subway systems in Tokyo, the other being Tokyo Metro.
Toei Subway is made up of four lines: Asakusa Line, which is accessible to/from Narita & Haneda Airport, Oedo Line, which is convenient for touring, Mita Line, and Shinjuku Line (total 109 km / 106 stations).

The Toei subway is the fastest and easiest way to get around central Tokyo. Tickets must be validated at the ticket gates. Fare adjustments can be made at the fare adjustment machines located near the gates, where passengers can pay the amount due if they travel beyond the validity of the ticket.
The Toei Shinjuku Line (都営地下鉄新宿線, Toei Chikatetsu Shinjuku-sen) is a rapid transit line in Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture, Japan, operated by Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei). The line runs between Motoyawata Station in Ichikawa, Chiba in the east and Shinjuku Station in the west.
