Night Ripper and other games that Puppet Combo worked on were created with Unity Game Engine, a cross-platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies, first announced and released in June 2005 at Apple Inc.'s Worldwide Developers Conference as an OS X-exclusive game engine. The programming language used to assist in the development was C#.
•Soundtrack was composed by Nick Bassett and Protector 101.
•The game takes heavy influence from the 1982 Lucio Fulci film, The New York Ripper.
•The death scene in the game may be a homage to some death scenes of eyes being pierced in Lucio's movies.
•In the original premise, on her way home Rachel was supposed to witness the Night Ripper murder a prostitute. Because of that, Night Ripper started hunting Rachel, According to the developer it was just never added.
