  1. Logansport is a city in and the county seat of Cass County, Indiana, United States. The population was 18,366 at the 2020 census. Logansport is located in northern Indiana at the junction of the Wabash and Eel rivers, northwest of Kokomo.

    • France Park. On the site of a former quarry, there’s a stunning natural escape a little way down the Wabash River from Logansport. France Park has all the hallmarks of a resort, with a gorgeous beach and facilities for a wide range of activities from scuba diving to fishing, disc golf (24 holes) and zip-lining.
    • Riverside Park. Right on the Eel River, this 13-acre community park has delighted visitors since 1887. If you’re on the River Bluff Trail you can reach Riverside Park by crossing the Cole Bridge, for bikes and pedestrians.
    • Downtown Logansport. As Logansport’s population contracted in the mid-20th century, the central business district suffered most. During that time a raft of monuments were bulldozed, including the magnificent old courthouse.
    • The State Theatre. A pillar for downtown Logansport’s arts district, this stylish Art Moderne theater has been a fixture since the early 1940s. Before that time, the building that became the State Theatre was used for retail, housing a dry goods store and then a furniture company before its redesign.
    • Cass County Historical Society. Set in an elegant Victorian mansion, the Cass County Historical Society takes you on a journey through time, capturing the essence of Logansport’s past.
    • Cass County Courthouse. Start your visit to Logansport downtown and be sure to look for the Cass County Courthouse. This beautiful building was constructed in the late 19th century and is a striking example of the Second Empire architectural style.
    • Downtown Art & Murals. One of my favorite free things to do in Logansport Indiana is to check out all the murals around town. The murals around Logansport offer a captivating blend of art and local tales.
    • Little Turtle Waterway. Named in honor of the great Miami war chief, Little Turtle, the Little Turtle Waterway is one of Logansport’s most picturesque and serene destinations.

  4. Logansport is a small city in Northern Indiana. It was named after a Shawnee warrior named James Logan, or Captain Logan. It was a center for both canal and rail traffic since its founding in 1826, and commands a prominent location at the confluence of the Eel and Wabash Rivers.
