Some state officially that a "nickelodeon" was so named as they charged a nickel for their movie prices - but that's factually incorrect. Nickelodeons charged a nickel for a grand total of 2 years, starting in 1905. They kept calling them nickelodeons though until 1915, even though they starting charging 7 cents in 1907, and a dime in 1910.

Best. ijakinov. •. Nickelodeon as the channel is without a doubt heading for it's downfall simply because Cable is slowly dying. Nickelodeon the production studio will likely live on. They will continue to make shows for other streamers and for paramount+. Budget problems are likely due to current likely temporary economic times.

Cartoon Network was better than Nickelodeon. Most folks seem to say that the animated offerings with Nickelodeon in the 2000s was better than Cartoon Network, citing classics like Spongebob, Rugrats, The Fairy Odd Parents, etc.. which tended to have much more cultural staying power (at least in the U.S.) than Cartoon Network’s offerings.

That being said there might be a lot of lost media in this gigaleak to be discovered. There could be some big pieces of lost media found and some I think could only be found this way like uncensored sailor mouth.
Aug 21, 2019 · Estimated year of release: late 2000's early 2010's. Graphics art style: similar to Monkey Quest, or Moshi Monster, Club penguin, that type of style. It was very sparkly and bright, but lots of nature as well. It was, well, like a childrens game. There werent many moody colors minus a forest area.
Glad to see, because Nickelodeon in its current state is rapidly declining. From 2010-2019 Nickelodeon lost 60% of its audience. COVID-19 only saw an increase in decline with Nickelodeon losing another 23% from 2020 to 2022. Cartoon Network was hit even harder losing 34% of its audience during the same period.
