Tatoi (Greek: Τατόι, pronounced [ta.ˈto.i]) was the summer palace and 42 km 2 (10,000 acres) estate of the former Greek royal family. The area is a densely wooded southeast-facing slope of Mount Parnitha, and its ancient and current official name is Dekeleia.
Tatoi Palace was the summer retreat of the Greek royal family until 1974, when they were forced to flee the country. Now, the estate is a decaying relic of a bygone era, surrounded by pine forests and open to visitors who can wander through the ruins and enjoy the nature.
