Windows will probably give you a warning when you run IAWDiag or GuzziDiag the first time as well, just tell windows it's OK.
Clean the starter externally and mark up the front and rear parts so they can be put back to the same position. Making a scratch in the metal is best. Put some tape around the axle to protect the seal when the front part is removed. Remove the two long bolts and pull off the front part.
Nov 7, 2019 · Energize the starter directly from the battery through the relay connector. My bike with a good 12ah battery holds 10.6 volts. Much below 10 volts indicates a weak battery. Other problems such as starter drag, poor battery cable connections, or a failing relay can skew the results.

On the display 01 is the throttle position. It should be around 16 -18 (Factory setting). Now locate the throttle sensor on the right hand side of the bike behind the cylinder. It's easier to gain access to the screws by removing the RH side trim. Slacken the two bolts indicated in the above photo.
Couple of mistakes, RSV4 R has quick shift, 16/42 is also gearing on RSV4-R APRC, and I also think the internal gear ratios are the same. These stats are probably off 2010 model, as that model has 16/40 sprockets and different internal ratios to 2011 model R. 06-05-2012, 05:42 AM #9. TheX.
