Feb 12, 2009 · LTA enquire transfer fee site says "Road tax, including Over Payment (if any), of a vehicle will follow the vehicle to the new registered owner when its ownership is being transferred. I checked transfer fees before and after current road tax expiry, both gave same figures inclusive of same road tax amount.
Apr 12, 2013 · Ask the dealer if the car is dealer car or consignment car from the very beginning. The credit company holding on to the car will only allow the transfer if the outstanding loan has been paid up. Also you should go down to LTA directly to ensure that the ownership is transferred.
Feb 10, 2014 · Thereafter, bring along both your NRIC/license and your insurance certificate/cover note along to LTA. Transfer is immediate. Aug 23, 2020 · Retain pay 1300 to LTA Wait for buyer, once have buyer, find a neutral car and load the plate onto the car without extra cost, transfer to buyer of plate, let him retain (he will pay 1300 to LTA) then transfer the neutral car back to you. Dec 29, 2007 · The current vehicle transfer fee is $11 but the current number plate retention fee is $1300 (to old car). Then to transfer the number onto new car, it costs only $100. All 3 have seemingly identical process and costs imo, but why is there such a big difference in fee collected. No matter how you compare the 3 fees, cant make sense to me...
Dec 29, 2007 · As for insurance, both party will have to purchase insurance showing the existing number plate first, because veh transfer in usually faster (1-2days). Retain and replcement of veh number will take about 1 week for LTA to process. LTA will send you 2 letters: 1.Suceesful retain of number plate. 2.Successfuk replacement of number plate
