(Korea is technically still at war with the north, so the govt doesnt open up the countrys map data via API to foreign companies like Google). So best option is to use Naver Maps. Earlier this year, Naver released its Google Maps in English! You may need to toggle it to English settings from Korea - here's how to do it below.
May 24, 2023 · For addresses: Copy the romanized address into Papago (translation app) and translate from English to Korean to get the address in hangul. Then paste that into Naver Maps. For searching categories, aside from the built in choices, they really only work in Korean.

Oct 6, 2023 · I know there's a way on the app, so you might be able to do the same on desktop! Tap on the top left and click the ⚙️ button. Go to 내 계정 관리 and click 내 정보/보안기능. Feb 19, 2023 · Local's tip #1. Use Navermap instead of Google Maps in Korea. https://map.naver.com. I'm not sure if it's helpful information for you guys. Korean territory isn't available on Google Maps. So, Me and other Koreans only use Korean Applications like Navermap or Kakaomap for directions, navigations, transportation, subway routes, etc.
