I'm set on self-catered, but the choices seem a bit limited. I'm currently considering Dafga House, Broadgate Park, and Southwell Hall. Does anyone have any insights or experiences with these halls?

  3. Jun 20, 2019 · Professors: I get along well with mine, at university you get treated like an adult in a good way. nightlife: Lots of different types of clubs/nights out. Overall easy to make friends. Especially if you get involved in societies. Although I found it difficult to fit in/get close to most of the groups on campus.

My course is interesting with supportive lecturers who always provide their available office hours for support outside of lectures. I also have workshops and problem classes designed to give further support where PostGrad students also get involved.

  6. Aug 22, 2023 · Have I calculated my Nottingham Score correctly? I have: 9 GCSE at level 9 so that gives me 32 points. Situational Judgement Band = 60 points UCAT. VR. 630 therefore 2x8 = 16 points DM 630 = 8 points QR. 700 = 8 points AR. 820 = 12 points I do have worked that correctly it gives me 136 total.

  7. For each city i'd say that if you want a good nightlife, then Leeds is 50x better than Nottingham in terms of clubs/ bars. But Leeds isn't great for non-alcoholic socialising like restaurants/ cinema/ other entertainment.

  9. Exeter ftw. Nottingham has had (and still does) a far superior rep over the years compared to exeter, a uni which was in the 30s/40s in league tables years ago. My brother graduated last summer from Nottingham uni (im assuming your not talking about trent). he has said not to go out (clubs pub etc.) on fridays and saturdays, as the local twenty-yr olds and teenagers hate students. The only reason to avoid clubs on Fridays/Saturdays is that the prices are not always student friendly.
