Newington College’s Stanmore Senior Campus is located in the inner west suburb of Stanmore, just three kilometres from Sydney University. Stanmore 7-12 is a non-selective school, offering both the Higher School Certificate and International Baccalaureate. We have over 1300 students and 50 boarders.
Registration and Enrolment Fees. When a student is registered for possible future enrolment, a Registration Fee of $300 (incl. GST) is payable. This amount is not refundable. A non-refundable Enrolment Fee of $5000 is payable before a student’s enrolment can be confirmed.
We are proud of our College here at Newington, and at the same time we are grateful that several thousand parents in Sydney and beyond have entrusted the education of their children to us. It is a big responsibility and we take it seriously with every new student who joins us.

Welcome to Newington. We are delighted that you are considering Newington College for your child. Registration in the first step in the admissions process, and Newington accepts applications any time from birth. Due to the demand for places, families are encouraged to apply to enrol as early as possible.

At Newington, the teachers are always supportive and eager to help students to the greatest extent. Towards the end of the IB, I consistently sent practice papers to many of my teachers, and they always did their best to provide feedback.
On Monday 20 November 2023, the College Council formally announced plans for a phased transition to co-education at Newington College, starting with our Prep Schools at Stanmore and Lindfield. We will be accepting girls into Kindergarten and Year 5 from 2026, and Year 7 and Year 11 at our Senior campus in Stanmore from 2028.
