St. Joseph’s Institution (SJI) (圣若瑟书院 shèng ruò sè shū yuàn) is a Catholic secondary school for boys founded in 1852 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools or De La Salle Brothers. It is the 3rd oldest secondary school in Singapore.
The monthly school fees and miscellaneous fees for 2024 are listed in the table above. Fees are subject to change. Fees payable are calculated on an annual basis and spread over a period of 12 months. For all new admissions, school fees can only be paid through GIRO.

The Year of St Joseph marks the 150th anniversary of the declaration of St Joseph as the Patron of the Catholic Church. In honour of the anniversary, Pope Francis declared 2021, a special year of St Joseph.
Our People. SJI is currently headed by Principal, Mr Justin Arul Pierre. Taking care of the learning needs of more than 2,000 students in SJI are 175 teaching staff comprising Heads of Department, Heads of Level and teachers and allied educators. The students and teachers are assisted by 41 administrative and support staff.
Admission to SJI. SJI is an all-boys-only secondary school that offers the Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) Programme and Integrated Programme. Female students may join the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in SJI (junior college/Year 5) after their GCE O-Levels. Admission to Secondary 1.
It also reminds us that St Joseph’s Institution was founded in the days when Singapore was still a British Colony. The Latin motto of the school, Ora et Labora (Pray and Work), is inscribed on the scroll at the bottom of the crest.
