  1. Sep 10, 2021 · Just buy a 5 series. More modern than the Audi and looks better imo. Interior build quality in the Audi is higher but I prefer the look of the Bimmer interior (still great quality). The 5 series is also sportier. Haven’t driven an Audi ever but I’ve tried the 530i.

  2. 2024 BMW 5 Series Review // Not What We Expected | Throttle House. Honestly it’s not that surprising that they made the i5 heavy af (1000 lbs heavier than last gen geez) considering it’s the executive sedan. Overall it hits the mark of what I would expect out of a 5 series. It’s also huuuuge.

  3. Oct 13, 2023 · MOD. Why used 5-series so cheap. I have always been an Audi person, and considering changing to BMW for some freshness. I was looking at BMWUSA.com pre-owned inventories. With the same year and mileage (I was using 2021-2023 and below 50000 miles), surprisingly, 5-Series are generally cheaper than 4-series, even 3-series. Why is that.

  4. Mar 29, 2023 · Would definitely want it over Dakota personally, it's real nice. Ventilated seats - I have the heated/ventilated/massaging seats. Ventilation and massaging is pretty underwhelming and probably not worth more than $1k extra imo. Laser lights - My car is pre-LCI so no lasers but I have the upgraded lights.

  5. For example, the E60 (2005-2010) 545 and 550i with the N62 V8 have well known valve stem seal issues. Maybe $20 worth of parts and $2500-3000 (on the low end) in labor to replace them. Also, the E60 535i (N54 motor) had high pressure fuel pump and turbo wastegate issues. F10 528i with the N20 4 cylinder can have timing chain guide failures.

  6. May 16, 2023 · BMWs are generally reliable (minus certain/mostV8 models). My concern with used ones is the maintenance cost (especially if you are financing anyway). Generally, I recommend budgeting $1200 per year for maintenance as some years it will be $200 and some years it will be $3000. Plus if something “breaks” it will definitely be a $1000 repair ...

  7. Apr 4, 2022 · They essentially have the same options even, although the 5 actually has massaging seats but the 7 has Bowers and some other ultra glam options that don't necessarily increase value. 2020 BMW 745e (PHEV) (MSRP $118,075 now $86,878 but likely no PHEV rebate) 2022 BMW 530e (PHEV) (MSRP $70,635 now $69,635 AND has a PHEV rebate of $5.8K) 2. 9 Share.

  8. Hi, MF/RV/incentives 2021 and 2022 530i premium package, 8k and 10k, 36 months, zip 11040. Thx in advance! 2022. 36/10. .00093 and 59%. 2021 5-series discussion.

  9. Dec 11, 2022 · That generation is not known for great reliability (they added bunch of electronic modules compared to pre 2004). The driving experience will blow you away. For best reliability pick a 323/325/328/330 petrol or 525/530/535 diesel. Hi guys, I'm new to this board. Lately I have really been interested in buying a BMW 5 series, from around 2005 to ...

  10. Oct 18, 2021 · I think any cars from the E46 or E39 era were the last of the best BMWs, if you want used. Belt-driven water pumps can’t fail (class action lawsuit) and the inline 6’s from that era, despite some VANOS issues that are easily remedied, are generally considered reliable. My mechanic says those were great chassis. I had a 2000 323i from that era.
