Sep 22, 2020 · In my opinion that's a big downgrade, the screen is smaller, less bright, no 120 Hz Display anymore and the A12X in the 2018 iPad Pro is also faster than the A14 (neural engine of A14 might be a bit faster, but graphics and multi core of A12X is a lot higher). The speakers in the 2018 Pro should be also better.

Oct 21, 2020 · The Apple 30w USB-C chargers charge iPads faster, but it’s an exponentially decaying return. I don’t see too much difference using the 30w over the 18w on my 2018 pro. I do notice on 2017 Pro 10.5 & 12.9 so you should still be able to as well. First 15-30 minutes is where you see the biggest improvement.

It really depends on price. The reason I have the Air 4 is that I had dropped my 11 Pro and cracked the screen and dented the frame.

One of the main reasons was to just have a iPad around the house for media consumption and the occasional editing and since my Pro 10.5 was down to 85% battery health it no longer served that function well not lasting like a iPad.
Feb 4, 2022 · Chances are we'll only see minor changes between Air 4 and Air 5 (probably similar to 2018 iPP to 2020 iPP). That said, I don't see the point of going from 2018 iPP to either iPad 9th gen or Air 4 unless it's because one wants to downsize from 12.9". Either way the sales will only get better after the release of the new iPad Air.
