Jan 12, 2013 · U can check out Crestar fans. They have both AC and DC models, both with light attachments (choice of PLC or LED). U can install 2x18W PLC or 2x9W LED, equivalent in brightness to a typical 32W round fluorescent tube. homedriver said: KDK fan is proven, I'm also looking but the problem is KDK fan is without light.

Jul 12, 2022 · Yes, please heed this guy's advice. When shopping for fans, make sure you ask how much it costs to replace the remote. Fanco is one of those companies where the remote replacement is super high. The LED light on the fan is usually quite sturdy and doesn't spoil that easily. Mar 12, 2016 · This one comparable to the latest kdk U48FP with LED light which costs $550 without installation. Somemore Fanco lifetime warranty on motor. Crestar can cost as much as kdk depending on model but alot more stylish and 10 year warranty on motor. Personally i feel these 2 brands more bang for my buck.
Feb 16, 2019 · With the aftermarket controller, my fan was unable to rotate at low speed. fixed it by replacing the aftermarket's controller capacitor to 1.0 and 2.0uF. If the fan cannot rotate, likely the problem is with the starter capacitor. Such capacitor is easily available, also can be found on carousell for as low as $2.00.
126. Apr 28, 2016. #16. I'm using a short pipe KDK 60" in my living room (old flat), it's definitely a good size. For the smaller rooms/new hdb living rooms, it is probably too big. Those rooms should use a <50" ceiling fan. But you should measure your room and see.
Jan 12, 2013 · Picked out the one that I wanted (Which is a KDK 150cm ceiling fan with LED light, model K15U2)... I can't really remember exactly how much I paid but it was definitely cheaper than in Sillypore... The equalvalent model is R60VW in Singapore is selling for $698 based on the online store price...

Based on some reading on the forum, seems like KDK U48FP seems like a safe choice (except for the below post in the lighting replacement). May I ask if there are similar fan (quality wise) that I could consider as well? Hoping to find out some opinion before I make the purchase.
