  1. Oct 26, 2021 · 720s - need owners opinions. I recently sold my Ferrari F12 and am considering a 720s. It was my first Ferrari and I’m happy that I owned it, but it wasn’t quite what I was hoping an exotic would be. It was a little soft, actually. I recently got a Tesla Model S Plaid, and it has completely redefined speed for me.

  2. McLaren 720S Reliability. Debating between a Huracan, 720S or 911 Turbo S for my next car, but the 720S is really standing out for me in terms of looks and performance. However, I keep hearing horror stories about reliability issues, specifically annoying electrical issues. Nobody I know owns a Mclaren, however two of my friends have worked for ...

  3. ElGumbleo. • 3 mo. ago. If you can avoid the first run of 720s then you should be fine reliability wise. The suspension accumulators will need replacing every 3-5 years, and tbh the biggest killer of McLarens is them not being driven. You've got to drive them for a decent amount of time at least a few times a week.

  4. Sep 23, 2021 · The McLaren 720S was introduced in 2017 as the next evolution of the 650S. The 720S is a rear-wheel drive coupe, offered as a drop-top (Spider) or hard-top. The 720S is equipped with twin electrically-actuated turbochargers and a dry sump as well as a paddle-shift seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The 4.0L V8 engine produces 710hp and 568 ft ...

  5. Feb 23, 2021 · Our 720s Spider has been flawless over 11k miles bar an issue where the roof was stuck down and the classic wingmirror rubbing issue. Please do not buy a McLaren without a warranty it is pivotal you have one imo. They have made major steps forward in the fit and finish of recent cars and the Artura will hopefully showcase this perfectly.

  6. Jul 10, 2022 · Earlier model 720S suspension accumulator diaphragms will fail and it is a known issue. Mclaren updated the accumulators in 2020 and with the release of the 765 they updated them again. The accumulator attaches to the side of the suspension strut and is filled with power steering fluid.

  7. Jun 11, 2019 · Doesn't matter because I'll never own a $200k+ car, lol. The roof scoop in the 600LT makes a BIG difference in the sound department. Sounds like the most world’s most obnoxious blow off valve, which does wonders for turbo cars sounds. Suddenly the turbos aren’t just muffling the noise, but rather adding to it.

  8. As advised generally by the well meaning members of this forum, I would like to take the car to Thorney Motorsport/Mclaren (Brackley, UK) for PPI and subsequent warranty. Please can you share any experience of having this done for your McLarens before purchase, and any talking points that you used to convince the dealer/seller to agree to this will be much appreciated, and will help.

  9. Feb 1, 2022 · Mate has a 720s. Front nose lift got stuck in the up position and was locked to 30km/h. Had to get sent to the dealer to get fixed. The wing got stuck due to electrical issues and wouldn’t work either. Back to the dealer again. The engine stopped revving past 3-4k rpm, they had to take it back as well. Just a small list of the many issues he has.

  10. Oct 4, 2022 · Agree with a lot here. The McLaren is about carrying speed, it'll fly through corners like you wouldn't believe because of its aero, but the struggle will be kerbs and right corners. You can trail brake, but you have to work on your lines to keep your minimum speed as high as possible.
