Oct 31, 2022 · Can someone help to clarify? I understand you can use OverDrive to access NLB books in Kobo right now. But the legacy OverDrive will end early next year. So does that mean that after this support ends, Kobo's will not be able to access NLB anymore? Or is there an option to install libby? Looking to buy my next ereader. thanks!
Dec 3, 2020 · There are 2 ways to access it, the hard way is through NLB eresources page where you click to go to lynda after login in as NLB account, the faster one is by going to lynda.com direct, click login, login using organisation account, enter `nlb.gov.sg` which redirects you to login using nlb. I love overdrive and NLB :) It has tons of audiobooks that i had intended to get over audible, apart from the odd 1 or 2 books (newer titles i guess). Are you guys working on Libby? The new overdrive app with a newer interface. I logged onto that but it's lacking in a number of books that could be found on the overdrive app instead.
Dec 29, 2021 · Libby is another app made by OverDrive which is better. Both are digital book apps for libraries. Imagine borrowing books but in digital form. You can add the NLB account through the Libby app itself. Accounts for libraries in overdrive are saved as "library cards". I think you first need to create a NLB account . Steps can be found at

Kobo e-readers has a feature that allow users to borrow ebooks from NLB seamlessly. Discussion. Sharing for those considering purchasing an e-reader or thinking of enhancing your reading experience. What I would do is use the Libby app for borrowing and holding books, then click on ‘sync’ on my kobo to sync them with my e-reader.
Like what u/potahtopotehto said, if you're considering getting an e-reader, you may want to consider the Kobo instead if you primarily want to borrow books from NLB. Kindle doesn't have Overdrive support in Singapore, only in the US. I unfortunately made the mistake of assuming Overdrive support was universal when doing my research.
Jan 26, 2019 · On iPhone. I use the NLB.overdrive.com site together with the Libby app, since my wishlist is saved on overdrive but not on Libby, and Libby is just nicer to use. But of course if it crashes then you kinda have no choice :p. Prefer libby. Interface is a lot nicer haha.
Dec 18, 2018 · NLB Overdrive uses your NLB account, so get her to register one first (NRIC number required), then login from Kobo settings. It's not complicated at all. One caveat to note: Kobo does not have official support for Chinese fonts.
