Nov 21, 2021 · I would definitely not get Rosetta Stone. I had it for Chinese, Japanese and Spanish (a very long time ago). And even though they updated a lot of things, it’s not worth the money. Maybe try utilizing other language apps like duo-lingo, lingodeer (if you’re learning an Asian language) or Memrise.
Apr 22, 2024 · Rosetta Stone is like Kmart. It was really cool back in the 80's/90's, before Walmart was a thing. And nowadays it's just in a downward spiral of clinging on to the past, and being really expensive, and not really innovating much. But some people like it. I shopped at the Kmart by my house too, until it went out of business.
I know back in the day Rosetta Stone was considered the bees knees of language learning but that was long before we had so many free and premium apps to choose from. I have a small education fund through my employer that can be spent on anything that will help my career including language learning. My concern is that I can be spending that ...
Oct 28, 2017 · Rosetta Stone is overpriced trash imo. Not even just for Chinese, in general. I'd suggest listening to the other suggestions in this thread. Per my flair, I'm at an A1-ish level of French, which I've gotten to mostly through Duolingo. Now that I'm able to put together basic sentences and such I've been trying to branch ...
Jun 5, 2015 · So a few months with a software system is a relatively small drop in the bucket, all things considered. 3. Vocalist. • 9 yr. ago. a useful app i found was ChineseSkill. 2. spence5000. • 9 yr. ago. I got Rosetta Stone for Mandarin and I enjoy it for supplemental study, but it's pretty overpriced for what it does.
Jun 11, 2021 · With daily practice, Rosetta is good but does leave out the " why" of grammar. so pair it with something that can tell you the rest. I think spending time with YouTube + a solid grammar book is a much better option. Also, try to watch as many Italian movies/tv series as possible, read some Topolino comics, etc etc.
Aug 19, 2011 · Rosetta Stone is one tool of many. Few people would limit themselves to only Rosetta Stone for language learning, despite being marketed as the only resource you need. It would merely supplement your learning. You need more than just exposure of course, you need real feedback from native speakers.

I was planning to buy Rosetta Stone but the price keeps changing. I was planning to buy it for 3 months, but the price keeps changing and it feels like a rip off. I have even seen the Lifetime price go from $150 to $400 (today) and everything in between. It is very frustrating.
