St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a pediatric treatment and research headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded by entertainer Danny Thomas in 1962, it is a 501 (c) (3) designated nonprofit medical corporation which focuses on children's catastrophic diseases, particularly leukemia and other cancers. Dec 13, 2021 · St. Jude is extending its mission to help more children around the world. In 2018, St. Jude and the World Health Organization launched the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer to increase survival rates to 60% by 2030 for the most common forms of childhood cancer.
Feb 10, 2021 · St. Jude is the only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated solely to children. It conducts research and treatment for pediatric cancer, with a mission to advance cures and improve survivorship.
