May 22, 2023 · But Coney Island has gotta be one of our favourites in Singapore. The rustic green space in the city’s north-east is home to hidden white sand beaches, flora and fauna. Its untouched trails stretch across mangroves, coastal forests, grasslands and casuarina woodlands.
Reach Coney Island by taking public transportation to Punggol Point Park, the entry point to the island. From there, you can rent bicycles or explore on foot. If cycling, be sure to bring a map or use a GPS app to navigate the island’s various trails.
Coney Island was formerly an actual island, separated from greater Brooklyn by Coney Island Creek, and was the westernmost of the Outer Barrier islands. A large section of the creek was filled in the 1920s and 1930s, turning the island into a peninsula.

Coney Island, also known as Pulau Serangoon, is located off the coast of Punggol in the northeastern Singapore. Originally just 13 ha, the island now spans 100 ha after a series of reclamation projects. A 50-hectare park managed by the National Parks Board was opened on the island in October 2015.
Feb 19, 2024 · Image credit: Google Maps. We chose to start at the West entrance, which you can locate near the iconic Punggol Settlement building. There’s a public carpark here too, should you wish to drive over. The cycling trail is straightforward; just follow the path along the coast.
