Renewing your membership online is as simple as signing in and heading to Renew Membership in your Costco.com Account. To keep things nice and easy, our members likewise have the option to Auto Renew using any Visa® credit card. Please keep in mind that active memberships can only be renewed within 90 days prior to the expiration date.
You can visit our membership desk at any warehouse to join in person. Alternately, you can sign up online , or call 1-800-774-2678 to speak with our Member Services over the phone. We believe it’s important that you have options, and there are different types of memberships to choose from.
After completing your purchase you’ll receive an email with your new membership number. Please note, membership cards will NOT be mailed to you. You can obtain your new membership cards by visiting the membership counter of your local Costco. Please be advised that registering to shop online at Costco.com is not an application for membership.

Our membership fees help to offset operational costs so we can keep our prices low. A modest increase in fees will allow us to bring our members even greater value.
A total of two people can be on a Gold Star Membership (either regular or Executive): one Primary Member and one free household member who is over 16 and lives at the same address.
Items ordered online can be returned at any Costco warehouse -or- you can initiate a return through costco.com. Accepted payment methods differ online and in the warehouse. You can purchase a ‘Gift of Membership’ at the register at your local Costco warehouse. Or, you can purchase it online. Your recipient will need to bring their Gift of Membership gift card to the membership counter at any Costco location. Their membership officially starts when it’s redeemed.
