Mar 27, 2023 · A death extract replaces a lost or damaged death certificate. You may apply for a digital death extract if the deceased had passed on in Singapore. From 27 March 2023, all death extracts issued will be in digital form. Upon approval, the applicant will receive a digital death extract.
Processing Time and Download of Death Certificate. A death in Singapore will be automatically registered once a doctor certifies the death online. Once registered, a death certificate will be issued in digital format. There is no need for the next of kin to register the death at a registration counter.

Mar 27, 2023 · You may apply for a digital birth extract if the birth certificate holder was born in Singapore, using ICA’s e-Service. The fee for an application of a birth extract is S$40 and the general processing time is within six working days.
Nov 1, 2023 · If you need a copy of your late NOK's death certificate, you can apply for a death extract online via https://go.gov.sg/ica-extracts. Please note you would be required to provide the following information of your late NOK: Full name, Date of death and, Singapore death certificate number or NRIC number.
When Death Occurs. From 29 May 2022, there is no need for the public to register a death at a physical counter. The death will be automatically registered once a doctor certifies a death online. A digital death certificate will be issued and can be retrieved from the My Legacy.
