  1. Hello @EverRayne,. It could be that it happens because of Windows 11, I'm not sure if the EA app fully supports Windows 11.

My solution to INST-14-1618 was to go to Task Manager and end task 'Windows Installer', then run EAappinstaller.exe as 'admin'. Apparently EAappinstaller calls Windows Installer but detected that it was already in use. Ba-da-bing it worked.

  4. After 3 hours I was over it when it wasn't even 1/3rds of the way. It's the EA App installer that is taking forever and I want to know if there is a way to get the app without the installer. EA App is really frustrating that I'm being forced to install it in order to play the games I PAID for and it refuses to install. (cm edit - updated thread)

If using the steps in the replies above doesn't fix your issue, launch Registry Editor and type Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts into the bar at the top of the window. Inside this folder are some files hidden from file explorer, simply delete the EA Desktop folder.

May 9, 2021 · Firstly uninstall the Xbox App. Next, go to C:\Program Files and just delete the Electronic Arts folder to get rid of EA Desktop altogether (careful here if you have Origin installed, I don't so I don't need to watch out for anything else that corresponds to my EA games library or anything).
