There's an answer from Garmin about this. I think it was not going through Garmin Connect but using Garmin Express. That did it for me. It was wonky getting it done, but eventually 'took'. Be sure and restart the watch after wearing it a few minutes after the update a second time just to be sure you are good to go.
Mar 22, 2024 · So idk why but my garmin connect is defaulted to a mainland china version regardless which app store I downloaded from. Thus I cannot connect my garmin connect to other apps such as strava or myfitness pal. Is it because my fenix 7 is bought in China? Since the app itself is defaulted to mainland China, create a new account won't solve the problem.
I used Heath Sync to allow Google fit receive data from my Garmin connect. It seems to work but I noticed that steps reported by Google fit, after having synchronised, are systematically higher than what reported on Connect. As an example, now Connect says almost 9.000 steps (7.1 km), while Google fit reports almost 13.660 (9.6 km).

It would be awesome to see the battery status of my device while I am working in Connect online and the mobile app. It seems like it would be a convenient feature, especially if the battery status is not on the watch face.
Is there any way to import Oura sleep data into Garmin Connect? I’m trying to decide which platform/device I use as my go-to for recovery. I currently use Garmin Recovery Advisor but that is only based on my most recent activity (doesn’t accumulate effects of multiple workouts) and also doesn’t factor in sleep.
Just enter its name or "garmin web api" or search by that link. It's available even on archive.org . Unless you already found it and search for better docs, then yes, those are short and old.
After 2 years of using Garmin Connect with one account name and many years of having a Garmin account for other hardware, suddenly the update of Garmin Express has created a situation where either I need to merge these two accounts or have considerable hassle switching between them (or alternatively sticking with the old Ant Agent software and ignoring Garmin Express for my training activities)
Open the storage of your Garmin device over the USB cable in a file manager (such as File Explorer in Windows or File Finder in MacOS), and download the un-synced files from the folder //GARMIN/Activity (the date is used for the file names). Try importing those files by dropping them onto the Import page of Garmin Connect Web.
