ADMIN MOD. Gods of Egypt (2016) Discussion. I actually really enjoy this movie. The story of Ancient Egyptian mythology inside of an extreme fantasy, the visuals, the depictions of Gods and mythological creatures, and even the acting. Ancient Egypt is always fascinating, so I'll happily watch weird fiction based on it.
From the director of Knowing and I, Robot, the writers of The Last Witch Hunter, and starring Gerard Butler's Scottish accent, comes a crappy story about a bunch of white people pulling their pants down and taking a sloppy shit on Egyptian mythology.
Feb 28, 2016 · Gods of Egypt looked like one of those early 2000 video game movie cash ins. It just looks off, does nothing in the trailers that haven't been done in similar movies. One of the things that makes it worse is the two actors in it, Butler and Waldu are better than what youre shown.
I wish there were more (good) movies exploring the wonderful myths other than the greek ones. Stargate. The Mummy from the 90s is a great watch. I don't know of anything that really goes into detail about the gods. Buba Ho Tep, just an awesome idea done badly in a great way.

Story didn't matter, just every 20m some guy in gold is punching another guy in gold and they turn into dogs and birds because Egypt. Classic lmfaoo. Context: One god wants to save the people.

Feb 6, 2016 · Why can't people just look at this as a movie, and not realistic, it's not real, and it's all for entertainment. It's also called fantasy for a reason, and if you're going to watch a movie enjoy it, that's the point. Because they casted white people to play Egyptian gods and people hate that. It looks horrible.
Jun 15, 2020 · The movie was visually stunning. The storytelling was okay, but what I was very disappointed with was the portrayal of Hathor. Her character in the movie was very lackluster and her story and status is far reaching and much more authoritative in real life. Hollywood has a tendency to display women as damsels in distress, that need saving.
