Google maps' algo integrates into "total travel time" including walking, bus wait times at your bus stop, transfer time, etc. Give it a try, if you're going into a bus stop with multiple buses to your destination, depending on the buses' arrival times, you'll get different routes as each bus passes.
I always use Citymapper first over Google Maps nowadays, but I think it has gotten a bit worse recently for me ever since the TEL opening – some of the platform to exit timings for a sort-of-nearby TEL station are way off and causing it to suggest journeys with short durations due to some impossible bus connections.

Dec 19, 2022 · Just download the MyTransport app which has a feature that shows you all the cycling routes. This is really just a bus timing app but it has quite a lot of useful features for travelling in Singapore in general. You can easily update google maps with new bike paths as you find them.

Google Maps failing to route public transport for distances roughly below 5km. Even if your 2 endpoints are MRT, it suggests walking. I’ve sent a bug report. I've always found Citymapper to be a bit more reliable and useful than Google for public transport directions. I live across the street from an MRT station.

Sep 18, 2020 · OneMap 3.0 is a pretty cool 3D map of Singapore (To View on Desktop) Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. Still got the old/no-longer-existing Golden Shoe Car Park (same with Google Maps 3D). In its place today is a still-under-construction skyscraper, CapitaSpring. OneMap 3D was years in the making AFAIK.
