About HSC. Hai Sing Catholic School was founded in 1959 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM) Sisters as Hai Sing Girls’ High School. Back then, many of the families living in the Serangoon and Punggol areas were very poor and the daughters of farmers could neither read nor write.

What are the criteria to take Higher Mother Tongue in Hai Sing Catholic School? If your child/ward has an overall PSLE score of 8 or better, or an overall PSLE score of 9 to 14 and attains AL1/AL2 in MTL or Distinction/ Merit in HMTL, your child/ward will be deemed by MOE to be eligible to take Higher Mother Tongue.
For students whose 2024 MOE FAS applications have been approved by their primary schools, please bring the letter of approval to the Hai Sing Catholic School general office for further assistance. Application forms for financial assistance are also available at the school’s general office.
