Jan 1, 2024 · I have a Gateway mini laptop with Windows 7, IE 9. I switched it on after a few years and Now I cannot access most websites, specifically at the second level. I have tried most of the applicable fixes from the Net, but nothing worked. It is not even updating the Windows 7 and from IE 9 to IE 11. Internet connection is fine.
Apr 9, 2011 · When I go to the URL you listed, it says it will download IE 9 64-Bit version. If you look more closely, I think you'll find that "it will download" the Windows 7 64-bit version (which will include IE9 32-bit & IE9 64-bit). If it's a Win7 64-bit computer, you have two versions of Internet Explorer: IE 32-bit (the default) and IE 64-bit.

Jun 27, 2011 · Easiest though, by far, is while in Internet Explorer press "ALT+H" and while still holding down "ALT", but having let loose of "H", press "A". That will open the "About Internet Explorer" window. Given what you have before I should have inferred it was 32-bit, but I wanted to be sure.
