May 22, 2024 · Little Snitch had just updated to 5 I think and I was trying to see if I needed to pay for it haha. LuLu works nice, but at least back then, it was not as configurable as Little Snitch was, it was more of a 'block everything' approach where Little Snitch can be fine tuned so to speak.
Feb 24, 2019 · It seems very simple compared to Little Snitch, however, seems to do a very similar job - - without some of the 'advanced' features. 2 things I miss already : - is the network monitor in the menu bar. With Little Snitch, you'd have a green bar for downstream and red bar for upstream , each with the data transfer speed as well.

Jun 10, 2024 · I think we have a problem with the list in post #1. This is showing as working a number of apps (e.g. Little Snitch) which use System or Network Extensions. For these (from comments in this thread), it seems likely that there are two cases: 1) If macOS 14.5 is upgraded to macOS 15, the apps may continue to work.
Jan 11, 2015 · Choose Edit > Disable (or Enable) from the menu bar. Right-click on the selected rules and choose Disable or Enable from the contextual menu. Click the checkbox in the “On” column of the rules list. Press the space bar to toggle the selected rules between enabled and disabled.

And beats paying monthly for no development - as in subscriptions. True from a security perspective - but even without being a LittleSnitch user and...

It's the approach to the interface of Little Snitch I dislike the most. The never ending growing list of apps and services piling up in the Little Snitch Configuration. The newer Little Snitch 4 looks rather nice interface-wise.
Dec 11, 2020 · I purchased version 5 of little snitch last night and it allows the filtering of both incoming as well as outgoing connections in the main Rules panel, I went ahead and disabled the built in firewall in MacOS as it is no longer needed, I cannot however find the equivalent of “Stealth Mode” which is available in the built in MacOS firewall, Do you know if Little Snitch offers that feature ...

May 22, 2024 · Little Snitch blocks attempted connections, with PiHole you block after the app or the operating system connects and sometimes it's already too late they already collected the data, IP locations etc...
