I recieved a mail and checked my activity. I saw a number of unsuccesfull login attempts from IP adresses from America and India (probably VPN). Once every 1 or 2 minute this person is trying to login. I changed my password into a strong one and enabled 2-Step Verification. I am still not feeling comfortable since he or she is not stopping.

Mar 10, 2024 · I am experiencing the same issue. I have always used my @hotmail.com address. Later, I added a third-party address (my own domain) that also had MS Exchange to my Microsoft settings. I then set my domain address as the primary contact address and, unfortunately, removed the @hotmail.com address from the account.

In fact, starting this year, Outlook/Hotmail will phase out basic authentication in favor of newer authentication. Your current situation is caused by this reason.
