You can check if an organisation is a registered charity and has a valid fund-raising permit, through the Charity Portal (www.charities.gov.sg), or via SMS to 79777.
As a charity, your organisation is required to make an annual submission to the Commissioner of Charities (COC), which includes: Annual Report (including Financial Statements); and. Governance Evaluation Checklist. These documents should be submitted online via the Charity Portal within 6 months from the end of each financial year.
You can search for charities and IPCs on the register maintained by the COC found at the Charity Portal (www.charities.gov.sg). More statistics on the charity sector can also be found in the COC Annual Report available on the Charity Portal.
The Charities Capability Fund (CCF) aims to enhance productivity, operational efficiency, governance and management capabilities of the exempt, registered charities and Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs).
