To support student to envision their future career options, work experience is organized for the 15 and 16 years old. The former goes through 5 days of work experience in school while the latter are placed out in authentic worksites, such as restaurants and retail stores, for 10 days.

Founded in 2001, Metta School was established by Metta Welfare Association with the support of Ministry of Education (MOE) and National Council of Social Service (NCSS) offering special education to students with Mild Intellectual Disability (MID) and / or mild Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Admission is open to Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident of Singapore. Non-Singapore Citizen or Non-Permanent Resident of Singapore may apply for admission, subject to the terms and conditions of the Ministry of Education. In Metta School, we have the privilege to see many of our children grow up from being wide-eyed seven-year-olds into independent young adults. Witnessing students achieve milestones and overcome obstacles is deeply gratifying.
The B-Programme curriculum aims to equip students, aged 7 to 12, with foundational skills, so that they have greater learning success as they grow up. Students in the Lower B learn in a class with a lower teacher to student ratio so that each student gets more attention and support.
Every Metta student has an ICT tool and is explicitly taught digital-readiness skills, so that he can better access the curriculum and be more self-directed in his learning. Our holistic curriculum covers 6 domains, with each domain being given varying emphasis at different ages.
