The Q10 has a new sensor with better low light performance and Pentax claims that it overall produces higher image quality than the Q.
Mar 30, 2013 · The differences between the Original Q and Q10 are (IIRC): Slightly larger grip -- easier to hold for some. Slightly more rounded body. Buttons are "clickier" and easier to use. Slightly updated sensor. 1/30 flash sync with the electronic shutter compared to 1/13. Base ISO 100 vs 125 with the OQ.

Nov 5, 2012 · I'll echo what it said here: "class 10" is fine. Some class 6 seem to work just as fast (not all in my experience). UHS1 provides no benefit. One poster recommended eyefi; I generally love the eyefi cards, but I have stopped using in the Q as the Q picks up some sort of odd noise when filming if you use an eyefi card.

But in fact the Q-S1 is a noticeably improved version of the Q7: It offers continuous autofocus for video recording, while the Q7 doesn't.

Aug 23, 2017 · On the Q / Q10, the 02 standard zoom is a 28-83mm eq. lens, while on the Q7 / Q-S1 it's a 24-70mm eq, which many people will find a more attractive focal range. Same for the 01 standard prime, which is a 48mm eq. on the Q / Q10, while it's a more useful 39mm eq, on the Q7 / Q-S1.
