In the Page Style dialog, go to Page tab, and adjust Page numbers: under Layout Settings category to use Romans. Make sure that on Organizer tab, the Next style: is set to itself.
Feb 17, 2023 · I have document with 86 endnotes. They started life as footnotes with decimal numbers. When I changed them to ENDNOTES the numbering changed to Roman. They will not change back to footnotes, nor can I reset them to arabic numerals. Tools > Footnotes & EndNotes says format is “1,2,3.” but it lies. I wand them all back to decimal numbering.
