SMRT - [UPDATE on the power traction fault on the... On 3 June at about 5.50pm, a power traction fault occurred on the North-South Line between Kranji and Marsiling stations. As a result, train service is currently unavailable between Yew Tee and Woodlands in both directions.
Land Transport Authority – We Keep Your World Moving and #SMRT engineers will require additional time to replace the 10 rail segments today. After the rail replacement, more load testing will be conducted tomorrow to ensure safety and rail integrity before resuming full passenger service.

Great work by all involved with the service recovery. Lots of lessons SMRT can take away for a better tomorrow. Hope all will be well by 1st Oct. But if not, it's not the end of the world.
On 25 Sep at around 9.25am, a KHI train on the East West Line was returning to Ulu Pandan depot when it caused a power trip, resulting in a train near Clementi station stalling. Our station staff have been deployed to assist commuters who are in the affected train.
