Aug 28, 2024 · Whenever I log into my Spotify account on the Web Player and close my browser, I get logged out the next time I access the site. I have tried two browsers (LibreWolf and Brave) and both have this issue. Solutions found in other related posts, like clearing all cookies and bookmarking the Web Player, didn't work either.

Apr 23, 2018 · When I opened my spotify web player this morning it only would load to a plain black screen, iv'e restarted my computer and the web browser. I'm behind a school internet with DNS servers that i can't change but i've asked the IT and he said it shouldn't be blocked. Any help would be nice! Also Last week it was working fine.
Apr 29, 2023 · Open a web browser on your device and go to the Spotify web player website: open.spotify.com. If you are redirected to the app, try disabling the app by going to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Open by default > Clear defaults. Clear your browser cache and cookies, and then try opening the Spotify web player again.
Mar 10, 2024 · Still no luck. I've also noticed that once the memory usage starts ramping up, if I expand the browser window that's running Spotify and then minimize it again, the memory usage will drop back down to around 200mb. That's without stopping the music or any interaction with the web player - simply expanding and minimizing the window its in.
May 16, 2018 · An old version of the web player seems to have set the song URL to "spotify:meta:context". When the current web player tries to load the song behind that URL, it fails to do so and crashes. The only solution I've found so far is to open the Spotify app and play any song.
Sep 13, 2021 · I dont use Spotify app on Windows because i dont like too many open windows on my pc , and keeping an open Web Player tab is perfect for me. But there is an issue. If i keep Web Player tab open for a day or two - it freezes . Doesnt respond to play , and other buttons.
Oct 25, 2024 · The web player does not seem to come up anymore in Vivaldi. This has been working just fine for a while and about 3 days ago it stopped. The web player seems to work just fine in Firefox on the same machine. I have tried to open Vivaldi on other devices and for whatever reason the web player opens just fine there.
Dec 20, 2016 · This UI sucks to say the least. It also opens URLs through "open.spotify.com" instead of "play.spotify.com" and whenever I try to go to play.spotify - I'm redirected to open.spotify. The reason I hate open.spotify is because there are an insane amount of limitations here. There is no way for me to access web player settings even.
