Oct 21, 2022 · There is no English version of the Taobao app; you can only browse Taobao on the desktop through Google Translate. I don’t quite understand how that’s possible. Both the lite and regular app are widely known to be Chinese only. The lite app used to have some level of English translation, but that was seemingly removed.

It is definitely a money-saver especially if you know some basic Chinese (or have some translation software) and know how to navigate Taobao. The prices in their store is so much cheaper than 3rd party sites.

Jun 29, 2022 · Taobao Lite will let you translate the app to machine translated english. Tap on the My Taobao icon on the bottom right and tap on the Blue Globe option which is where you select language. Be advised it will be really rough machine translation. Taobao doesn't change the currency to USD or any other currency.
