No buyers anywhere else unfortunately. you're pretty much limited to those two, so your choices are: Deal with shady as fuck people on FB and pay no trademe fees, or pay a whopping 7.8% on big items and have some security, especially with Ping. Never had any trouble with Trademe.

Very reliable it’s the only place to buy a car from in New Zealand. Trademe users are a cross section of the population just like FB marketplace, you get both honest and dishonest people. All it really does is match buyers and sellers, you need to do your own due diligence and manage the purchasing process.

Trademe has no fees once and a while, so If you have time, prepare all your photos, titles and descriptions in advance. Avoid Facebook marketplace like the plague.
