The Loew’s and United Artists' Ohio Theatre opened on March 17, 1928 with Greta Garbo in “Divine Woman” plus a stage show featuring John Murray Anderson’s production of “Milady’s Fans” and six acts of vaudeville. Designed by noted architect Thomas W. Lamb, it had a seating capacity for 3,079.
There are always local artists’ pieces outside of the theaters which are interesting to see, the staff is friendly, and there is a restaurant (Torpedo bar) to order food from as well as a full service bar that you can take food and drinks from into the theater.
Tickets can be purchased online or in person at our Ticket Center. Discount tickets are available in person for Children under 12, Students, Military, OSU Faculty and Staff, and Seniors (60 and over). Members of the Columbus Museum of Art and Wexner Center for the Arts are eligible for our Community Pass ticket.
