  3. edited on Jun 11, 2019 at 13:54. Just need to know if unpaid leave deduction is based on the basic salary or basic salary + allowance. My company adds up the increment under the fixed allowance and this allowance was not entitle to any EPF or SOCSO contributions. They deduct the unpaid leave not on the basic but total of what we received.

  6. Hi there, Yes you have to activate the Unpaid leave on her Masterfile. Then you process it directly in the leave section on the payslip. The system will add code 5020 to the income tab. you do not have to add this code manually. It does not have to appear on the default tab, as it will not appear on the irp5.

In answer to my own question.... one would adjust the salary under the income tab but not put maternity leave through under the leave tab as this will not allow you to process a payslip for the employee in the next period. One must also change the employee status under Employee Masterfile, Statutory to "Maternity/Adoption leave".
