So they have made many, many speakers over the decades; some real gems and some dogs. They also make many lines of speakers in any given model year ranging from bargain basement junk to world class top of the line.

  2. Jun 11, 2021 · These speakers have got me researching music I have never given much attention to. In the back of my mind though I am hoping the speakers are going through an opening up process and soon my old favourites and I will be able to sing, dance, rap, head bang, air guitar, swing and sway and drum on the coffee table and get told off by the mrs.

  3. Jul 25, 2021 · So I've had my 5.1 Wharfedale Zaldek speaker setup (Zaldek 1000, Centre & Dipole Surrounds) for nearly 18 years and they are still going strong. Recently updated my receiver to a Marantz SR5015 and they still sound great, especially in comparison to most budget/midrange offering on the market now.

  4. Mar 20, 2008 · The Wharfedale tend to be smooth laid back speakers, which for many creates a very low fatigue experience. But for those who like a crisper, brighter, more forward presentation, the Wharfedale are not the right speaker. They are good, and I like them, but they are laid back.

  8. Dec 27, 2016 · I finally decided I want to give Wharfedale speakers a try, as I'm into warm sounding speakers. But I can't decide between Diamond 220 and 225. I have a desktop setup in a 13x13x8.5 ft room, the speakers are 5"/6" from the wall, mostly near-field listening, have a Marantz PM6006 amp and listen mostly to rock music.

  9. Jun 22, 2020 · NHT C3. Dynaudio Emit M20. Dali Oberon 5. Wharfedale Evo 4.2. Revel M16. This is probably my last thread like this. These are the speakers I’ve tried out so far and the Revel’s are the best I’ve heard by a long shot. The Focal’s are really good too but those two are the only ones I really liked.
