Oct 15, 2022 · Reinstalled Whatsapp, both on desktop and mobile. Tried to manually delete the files in my PC too, but Whatsapp only offers the Microsoft Store version one, there's no longer a direct download option. Besides, since it's a WinStore app, the files seems to be protected and I can't delete/access them manually.
Oct 12, 2022 · Just wanted to share praise. The new WhatsApp app is natively built for Windows PCs and functions so well. The interface is fast and fluid, and matches the design of Windows. It's a joy to use. Combine that with the new ability that you can use WhatsApp on PCs without needing a data connection on the mobile app, and we've got ourselves a winner.
My mom was hacked, I can still log in and change the password and log out of suspicious locations but they are still able to get in. I can't do 2 step authentication because it's saying I need to confirm with a code sent to my whatsapp but she doesn't have a whatsapp and has never connected one to her facebook. I don't know what to do :<

Apr 22, 2022 · Suddenly Whatsapp Web in Firefox just starts to think it is not logged in and forces login QR code. But Whatsapp App actually shows all the sessions, they are there. But I cannot access them.
Mar 7, 2022 · The only way to find out is probably trying, since the Whatsapp customer support is almost fully automated/non-existent. If you are successful logging in I would suggest you to always switch the account to the number you are currently using. And more of a general advice, don't use Whatsapp for important stuff (e.g. work).

Mar 14, 2024 · I was able to find a page that listed signed in devices and kicked everyone out, then signed my dad up for a WhatsApp under his actual phone number and set up 2 factor and got his own code which I THEN was able to change the preference to SMS text as preferred (they kept defaulting the preference to WhatsApp as “Recommended”)
May 23, 2020 · This morning, my girlfriend's whatsapp had been hacked. I received a message from "her" on whatsapp, saying that she needed money for some unpaid bills. Funny detail: she was sitting next to me, so we both were quite shocked. Several friends of her received the same message.
Jan 17, 2023 · I don't think you can link an Android Whatsapp account on iOS - there are no options to do so at setup as far as I know. A workaround for this could be making the iPhone the primary account (by transferring your WhatsApp chats to the iPhone) and then adding the Android as a linked device of the iPhone as normal (3 dots on the phone number page).
