Oct 5, 2017 · I need to display Word .doc and .docx files in a browser. There's no real client-side way to do this and these documents can't be shared with Google docs or Microsoft Office 365 for legal reasons. Browsers can't display Word, but can display PDF, so I want to convert these docs to PDF on the server and then display that.

In the Options dialog check 'Create bookmarks using' and ensure that 'Headings' is selected. Click OK. Also, with Office 2007 having publish to PDF functionality, I guess you could use office automation to open the *.DOC file in Word 2007 and Save as PDF. I'm not too keen on office automation as it's slow and prone to hanging, but just throwing that out there...

Jun 16, 2023 · So use the File / Save As / File Format / PDF, which indeed is Microsoft's built in utility. This method should retain the interactive hyperlinks. NOTE: if you use File / PRINT / PDF, this creates a "dead" file that lacks any interativity including hyperlinks. So this is not the recommended method.

I didn't see a feature for "Print Scaling" in Acrobat, but when I hover in the bottom left corner of the PDF, page size is A4. PS. You can see "scaling" in the first screenshot.

May 8, 2015 · 1 Correct answer. A few things to try. Go to Edit>Preferences>Documents and set PDF/A mode to "Never". Then go to Edit>Preferences>Security (enhanced) and deselect "Enable protected mode at startup. If that doesn't work, you can always try selecting "Print as image" in the advanced print dialog.
Sep 4, 2011 · There are typically 2 factors that might create this result. The first is that you do not have WORD set to use the Adobe PDF printer when you are printing (though I do not think this is the issue). You might check to see if in OFFICE 2010 that the printer metrics are used in the layout and use this in your mind set.
