Aug 6, 2024 · I had the same issue on Linux Java edition 1.21.1. I created a new account with all settings in `Xbox and Windows 10 devices Online Safety` on but multiplayer in Minecraft was disabled. What's strange I didn't have this problem with 2 other old accounts using the same Linux Java 1.21.1 on the same machine. xbox and mojang helpdesk couldn't help.
However, I did find that if you go to Settings > Multiplayer and disable Multiplayer game, then the Create button turns green. I haven't played Minecraft in... a while.
