If I were single or just my wife and myself, I would fly ZipAir all the time. I think their pay-what-you-use business model is great for people who travel light. Even with all extra fees, they are still cheaper compared to other major airlines. Once my kids are older and have more travel experience, we will most likely go with ZipAir.
Bottom Line: ZipAir offers a modestly comfortable flight to Japan for nearly half the cost of a standard airline, assuming you don't mind bare-bones travel and difficult customer service. And don't be tall. The Good. It's cheap. That's why you book with ZipAir. It's a direct flight. The cabin is very clean and well-maintained.
Jan 23, 2024 · Wanted to give a brief rundown of my recent experience with ZipAir's lay flat service (just got back home today) for anyone out there considering using them. Just FYI, I have primarily flown Southwest and Volaris for the last several years so had those in mind when I flew ZipAir. I have flown Virgin, American, and United in the past as well.
Sep 8, 2021 · A low-cost carrier wholly owned by Japan Airlines (JAL) named ZIPAIR Tokyo (ZIPAIR) has officially launched its first flight between Singapore and Tokyo's Narita International Airport. According to a Facebook post by Changi Airport, ZIPAIR is the first budget airline to operate a non-stop direct service between the two cities.
Haven't tried ZipAir kasi bago pa lang siya pero operated by JAL siya so baka okay naman. Kaso sa price ata hindi pa din super mura unlike others. Cheaper than JAL, yes. Haven't tried AirAsia din pero yung friends ko na pumuntang South Korea tapos AirAsia, hindi masaya kasi super uncomfortable daw so hindi ko na siya sinasama sa options.
Zipair is JAL, so in case of irregular ops, you’re probably OK. In terms of comfort, assuming you’re flying economy, onboard, it’s like the difference between United and Frontier. On Zipair, you get a seat. Everything else is extra or unavailable. I’d be okay with that. If you need a meal, drinks, entertainment, etc, spend the money.
Apr 8, 2022 · I took ZipAir to Hawaii. They are legit although I believe they don't include taxes in the total until you reach the final page when you buy the ticket. Still it was about 25% cheaper than any other airline. Also the plane was almost empty so you can spread yourself out onto a full row to sleep. Free wifi was also a godsend although a bit slow.
Dec 28, 2023 · Zipair is a subsidiary of JAL so it's not like it's a completely brand new airline. The flight for the most part wasn't too much out of the ordinary. I would try and get to the airport early, as with any international flight.
Aug 7, 2023 · I Dropped Venture with the flight cost left on the balance an will be on a one man mission to warn the world of Zipair's predatory policies. Forever. I don't care about the money. And my credit is fine with Venture eating the bill. But I am Irish, I don't forget grudges. Every time I ever see a Zipair post anywhere, I will tell my situation.
Sep 27, 2023 · ZipAir is quite a decent airline and certainly among the better low cost carriers Take a look at the extra fees and match with what your needs are and see if you can live without some comforts/the fees don’t add up to more than a traditional ticket.
