  4. Nov 19, 2015 · Now I have checked and I am using the UK English keyboard, been through all the settings and definitely using UK keyboard so I am stumped and any help would be appreciated. I can cope with the " and the @ switch but it is very awkward not being able to get the pound sign. Using a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. Regards. Andrew

  7. Oct 21, 2010 · I am a British user, but UK and US keyboard layouts seem to be identical: certainly I now get the @ symbol using Shift-2, rather than the " symbol that my physical keyboard shows. I have no idea why the keyboard has suddenly stuffed up, but it's very irritating that the physical keyboard and the actual symbols entered now fail to match.

Oct 16, 2011 · Many thanks DP-K but on the pavilion keyboard there is no right hand numeral keys and that used to work on my former Microsoft keyboard when the 'pound' sign was not displayed.Have tried the Alt 156 but that doesn't work on my keyboard but thanks for the quick reply..much appreciated...
