Jan 23, 2020 · Depends on whether it's a vector graphic or bitmap graphic in the PDF. There are automated tools that will recognise vector graphics and convert to CAD entities, which tend to work reasonably well. Osnaps will also often work fairly well with vector PDF graphics if manually tracing. If it's a bitmap image the automatic tools often fare poorly.

Jul 26, 2019 · Just change the file name and insertion point for your specific PDF file needs. You can use the attached txt file as a starting point. Modify for your needs and then change the extension to scr. Then run the script command. -pdfimport.

Oct 2, 2013 · Although many PDF's contain raster images, the PDF file format isn't raster specific. The PDF file format can contain raster images, paths (polylines) that can be optionally be filled, or text objects. There is no other object type (even a circle is rendered as 4 bezier curve paths).

Aug 17, 2016 · in reply to: Jay_B. 08-17-2016 08:31 AM. Yes just install vanilla AutoCAD and use the PDFIMPORT command to make a block of the PDF and Save. Then simply insert into a Civil dwg and scale/rotate as required. This is the workflow I used until I moved fully moved over to Civil 2017.
