Jun 14, 2018 · The ransomeware protection is currently buggy & preventing games from opening/being played & downloads from installing. The workaround is to disable the ransomeware protection. If you don’t have MB then please disregard.
I then re-ran the installer as described in step 6 on the Epic page linked to above, which in my case is C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServices.msi and the installer ran successfully fixing the issue. Hope this helps someone.
After Closing This Error, Epic Games Launcher Opens Up Just Like Normal. I Tried Sfc /Scannow , Tried To Repair All Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables And Also Tried To Install DirectX Web Installer Again, Windows Is Full Updated To The Latest Version.
Jan 23, 2022 · I contacted Epic Games support and after we tried all the usual fixes, they advised to contact Xbox. After this, I made a seperate Epic Games account and tried to link my Xbox to the new account but this also failed. Oddly enough, when I try to link my Twitch and Reddit Account to my Xbox, they tell me to login, but both in the end fail.
Aug 18, 2020 · Within my son's Epic Games account he currently has a connection to his Switch. When I try to link to his new box (which is his home xbox) I want it to connect to his xbox account, but instead it connects to my xbox account and at no point does it ask which box account to link to! We have a family Microsoft account where I have 2 son's listed.

Dec 21, 2022 · I did exactly as you said Ctrl+alt+del. Clicked on task manager, a window opened up saying there are no apps running. so i went to apps and features, clicked on epic games launcher, a window came up saying it's getting it ready to uninstall, then another window came up saying that it's still running.
Apr 14, 2020 · So that's what i did I contacted epic games' support and got a reply about 8 days after i sent the first email, and i know about whats going on right now in the world, but C'mon 8 days that's quite a long time.
