There was crackle, crunchyroll (anime), a few others, most were pretty basic though - I call it the "netflix model" you get 1 movie for everybody that they like and then fill the rest with crap.

Yeah I love old and obscure movies too, and I miss the "recently uploaded" section in most of these sites so thank you for suggesting icefilms.tv! Most of these sites actually do have a lot of old(er) titles but will generally feature only the new/popular stuff.
